Analysis of Dynamic Mechanical Systems Using the Ti-84 plus
Introduction
The dynamics of mechanical systems have many similarities with the dynamics of electric systems.
The most common systems are those with linear movement (mass spring systems) and those with rotational movement (inertia coupled by an axis with stiffness).
Dynamic mechanical systems are common components of mechanical and electrical systems as part of the whole. Therefore, it is important for electrical, mechatronic, and mechanical engineers to gain insight into the behavior of such systems.
The analysis of dynamic is discussed herein two ways:
- Analysis of the dynamic behavior by solving the differential equations. (limited to second-order problems)
- Analysis of the dynamic behavior using Bode diagrams (which are also suitable for higher order problems)
- Analysis of a mass-spring system with 2 masses coupled by a spring and damper (coming soon)
